This gathering of enlightened souls, promises to be a spectacular cultural event set to captivate Los Angeles in May as part of IrelandWeek.

Curated by the renowned composer Eímear Noone, the event is a celebration of every facet and genre of Irish life, showcasing the rich tapestry of the country’s arts and culture.

There will be musical collaborations  by, Hannah Crowley, Mairead MacMullan, Carly Smithson -( Evanescence and American Idol Finalist) and many more to be announced. 

Eimear Noone, who made history as the first woman to conduct the orchestra at the Oscars, brings her expertise and passion to curate an unforgettable evening. 

The first batch of performers has just been announced that include,  Caroline Morahan, Alan Smyth, Kevin Marron, Rachel Rath, Sonya Macari, Nigel Lysagt, Glenn Keogh, Kevin Ryan

The concert will also include A tribute to Sinead O’Connor, Shane McGowan and Christy Dignam.

A concert show-case exploring the origins of contemporary Irish storytelling through dramatic scenes and music.

The music ensemble will include a Rock band, small orchestra, choir, solo harp, and solo uileann pipes.

It will be directed by Kirsten Sheridan and Madison Cole Garfinkle 

Eímear Noone

Eímear Noone is a Los Angeles/Dublin-based conductor and award-winning Irish composer, composing extensively for film and video games. As one of the world’s premier composers of games scores, Eímear is responsible for some of the most enduring soundscapes on World of Warcraft and other best-selling video games. Through her music on World of Warcraft, Eímear’s music has reached over a 100 million people and continually inspired players to invent and build new worlds for nearly fifteen years. Her composition portfolio of twenty-eight film and video-game titles have received multiple industry accolades including the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Video Game Score.

Recently, Eímear composed the score for the Channel 5’s drama series, Maxine and the new production by Stephen Fry based on Oscar Wilde’s short story The Canterville Ghost. She composed the score for the animated feature film, Two by Two: Overboard, which topped the UK Box Office in October 2020 and earned her an Ivor Novello nomination for Best Original Film Score, and is currently working on various other global film, TV, animation and game soundtracks. She has also worked on film scores for directors such as Gus Van Sant and Joe Dante, orchestrating for Oscar nominee Javier Navarrette (composer of Pan’s Labyrinth) creating haunting music for thrillers Mirrors and The Hole.

Alongside composing, Eímear conducts orchestras worldwide, including the Royal Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Singapore Symphony, Pittsburg Symphony, and Sydney Symphony. Notably in 2020, Eímear made history by becoming the first female conductor to perform at the 92nd Academy Awards’ ceremony.

As a leading conductor of video game programmes, Eímear has conducted orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Danish National Symphony Orchestra. She was chosen by Nintendo to conduct the first ever 3D filming of a game score and has recorded game scores for Sony Interactive. She has also toured as a conductor with The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, a full four-movement symphony created from the themes from this iconic video game. Eímear was invited to conduct on the 25th Anniversary recording, which set industry records for soundtrack sales.

Beyond these projects, Eímear is constantly innovating new orchestral shows and concepts to expand the boundaries of her repertoire. She recently premiered a completely original show, Daughters of the Pirate Queen: The Spirit of Grace O’Malley as part of Ireland’s 2023 International Women’s Day Celebration. Selling out the National Concert Hall of Ireland and attended by President Michael D. Higgins himself, this show synthesised the work of some of Ireland’s most exciting female performers and songwriters to tell the story of Grainne Mhaol, a legendary pirate queen whose story had gone untold for far too long.

As an advocate for creative women in technology and music, Eímear is also in demand as a speaker and radio host, regularly invited to conferences and is the presenter for Classic FM’s gaming music show, High Score.
