But society is determined to break her spirit and destroy her way of life. And her father, once her greatest ally, is too defeated himself to imagine any better for his daughter. But Frances was not born to be broken. In the mother of all fights, she must dig deep to find in herself the Champion her father once knew her to be. He never managed to do this himself, and no other edition exists which has such a broad range, drawing from first to last of his prize-winning collections. But now, finally, the project has been returned to, resulting in an intimate gathering of poems chosen and introduced by the Heaney family. In 100 Poems, readers will enjoy the most loved and celebrated poems, as well as discovering new favourites. It is a singular and welcoming anthology, reaching out far and wide, now and for years to come.” (Sunday) 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm Clark Library, UCLA 2520 Cimarron St IrelandWeek presents "It's A SchoolNight" - Music From Ireland Showcase With support from Culture Ireland

With an average of 250,000 listens per episode, front covers on Hot Press and the Sunday Business Post, to being named a BBC podcast of the week, “Where is my mind?” resounded with a large and diverse audience. “Where is Mind” – the live show will make its us debut at Ireland week in la this November. Www.niallbreslin.com Brezzie “Since releasing the where is my mind podcast I really have been buzzing with the reaction it has received. For years I have been beyond passionate about finding ways in which I can use my experience and knowledge to help people better navigate the chaos of this modern world and the podcast platform is just such a perfect way to deliver that. So immersive, so intimate and a perfect way to connect with the audience. The live podcast is an extension of this experience where we explore psychology, neuroscience, culture, sociology, mindfulness and philosophy in a very relatable and entertaining way. Getting the opportunity to bring this to an Audience in LA for Ireland week is something that I can sincerely not wait for. Cant wait to have the chats with everyone” (Friday) 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm The Del Monte Speakeasy 52 Windward Avenue 08nov8:00 pmIrelandWeek Presents The Real Irish Comedy Tour8:00 pm 52 Windward Avenue We are delighted to once again host this hilarious night of emerging Irish comedy talent put together in association with the brilliant David Nihill from Ireland, now based in San Francisco.
